  • QBCFmonitorservice running in the background stops unexpectedly due to restricted permissions and interruption of other applications.
  • Incorrect hosting settings in the software lead to the failure of the multi-user network.

Solutions

You can eliminate the issue using the techniques mentioned underneath-

Solution 1- Configure the windows firewall port to prevent QuickBooks from getting blocked

Windows firewall restrictions are a significant reason for this issue to develop, as the software will not be able to execute its functions. The software won’t be allowed to integrate with any applications on the PC and connect with other systems on the network. This issue can only be resolved by adding particular firewall ports for QuickBooks to prevent it from getting blocked in the future. Execute the method as directed below-
  1. Single-click on the search panel in your taskbar and type ‘Windows firewall.”
  2. Open the Windows Firewall window from the search results and right-click the Inbound Rules option in the left side menu.
  3. Select the New Rule option, click Port, and hit Next.
  4. You’ll see two options, UDP & TCP, in the next window; choose TCP.
  5. Go to the Specific local ports option & set the required ports from the list below-
              QuickBooks Desktop 2017:8019, 56727, 55373-55377
              QuickBooks Desktop 2018:8019,56728,55378-55382
              QuickBooks Desktop 2019:8019, XXXXX
QuickBooks Desktop 2020 and recent:8019, XXXXX.
6. Tap Next after selecting the port.
7. Click on Allow the connection and then click Next.
8. Create a new rule with any desired name and click Finish.
9. Once you are done with Inbound Rules, select Outbound rules in step 2 and follow the same procedure to add the firewall ports.
10. Reopen QuickBooks.

If the issue occurs again while using the software, use the next solution.
