  1. Open file explorer by typing it into the Windows start menu.

Step 3: Try renaming the QBPOS folder

  1. Look for C:\Users\User logged on\AppData\Local\Intuit.
  2. Check the QBPOSshell.exe_url latest modification date by searching for it.
  3. Go to "user.config" and use the right-click button to rename it.
  4. Change the name to "user.configold."
  5. Close the tab and launch QBPOS.
  6. Verify whether the POS error still exists.
